Currier Museum of Art
Art of Healing
The Currier Museum of Art is a truly special institution, proven time and again through the richness of their mission, their programs, their ethos and their staff. Case in point: When they invited us to consider making their Spring Gala film, it quickly became clear that they had full trust and support in us - and conversely, we wanted nothing more than to do right by them.
And so "Art of Healing" was born, with the initially straightforward goal of showcasing and celebrating the incredible work The Currier is doing in its community through its Art and Wellness programs. But we eventually developed a secondary goal as well: to take The Currier's mission even further, by inspiring and challenging other cultural institutions to pursue Art and Wellness programs and initiatives of their own.
Official selection at the Greenpoint Film Festival, New York Shorts International Film Festival, New Hampshire Film Festival and the Newburyport Documentary Film Festival. Finalist in the 7th Annual Shorty Impact Awards.
“The Currier Museum’s Art and Wellness programs serve a diverse array of communities in need in Manchester, New Hampshire, including Veterans and their families, new Americans, teens with anxiety and depression, families of addiction sufferers, individuals with memory loss and their caregivers, and adults with developmental disabilities. The Currier is one of a few major museums in the US employing an art therapist to support wellness-focused initiatives. The Currier serves over 350 individuals in Art and Wellness programs annually.”
