Kismet (Teaser)

Daydream

Eight teenagers spend a week in New Hampshire at a technical rock climbing program where they begin to consider the potential of shaping their own destinies.

Selected to the Newburyport Documentary Film Festival, New Hampshire Film Festival , and DOC NYC, Kismet offers a unique lens into adolescence by observing a group of teens as they step away from home and into the woods. By learning new skills and building trust, these teens are presented with opportunities to explore new horizons.

Trekking alongside with a backpack full of cinema equipment, and offering a camcorder for the group to self-document, director Everett Ravens captures a vulnerable portrayal of youth nothing short of inspiring. Underlining the value of building community, cultivating trust, and building positive self-image.
